I had a great experience in Dr. Duarte’s APIT class. I went into it unsure of how I felt about APIT, but emerged a few days later feeling much more knowledgable and confident. He’s a very experienced practitioner with decades of insights about acupuncture and Chinese medicine to share, and in particular about musculoskeletal disorders. He’s big on palpation and knowing your anatomy, which was valuable practice for me. This course is mostly geared towards orthopedic treatments (as opposed to nutritive aspects) of PIT, just FYI, and doesn’t involve using Chinese herbs because those aren’t easy to get these days as injectables. Though we also learned about treating fertility, fibromyalgia, allergies etc. Thank you Dr. Duarte and Shannon!
This class was very informative with a lot of hand on experience. I left excited to bring all my new learned knowledge back to my patients.
It has been very long time to attend real class since COVID happened. This class remind me how continuing education should be. Lots of information and hands on practice will give you confidence for you to apply your patents right away.

Learned many new techniques and skills during the course. Dr. Duarte is very knowledgeable and gave us practical training on applying the material covered. Learned about the history, treatments, techniques and variations. Would take again and looking forward to other courses offered in the future.
